Summer maintenance of screw air compressors should focus on cooling, cleaning and lubrication system maintenance. OPPAIR tells you what to do.
Machine room environment control
Ensure that the air compressor room is well ventilated and the temperature is maintained below 35℃ to avoid overheating of the equipment due to high temperature.
Install exhaust fans or exhaust hoods to exhaust hot air in time, and install air conditioners to cool down if necessary.
Cooling system maintenance
Water-cooled models: Monitor cooling water temperature (not exceeding 35℃), check water hardness (recommended ≤200ppm), and remove scale regularly.
Air-cooled models: Clean the dust on the cooling fins every week to ensure heat dissipation efficiency.
Lubrication system management
Check the oil level regularly, control the oil temperature below 60℃, and use special compressor oil.
Replace the oil filter element (every 4000-8000 hours) to avoid blockage and insufficient oil supply.
Filter element replacement frequency
The air filter element should be cleaned every 2000 hours and replaced every 5000 hours (shortened to 1500 hours in dusty environments).
Inspect the oil filter every 3000 hours and replace it if the pressure difference exceeds 0.8 bar.
Electrical inspection
Check the motor bearing grease (replenish every 8000 hours) and polish the contactor contacts every year.
Use infrared thermal imager to monitor winding temperature and reduce motor failure rate.
Other precautions
Avoid long-term overload operation and select the model based on the actual working pressure.
Install a water softening treatment device to prevent water quality problems from causing failures.
